A yard sale is a great way to get rid of unwanted items, and make a little money to invest in new things!
But be prepared for the hagglers! Items of real value can instead be sold on an auction site or at a consignment shop
if you are looking for a better return. Yard sales are a lot of work, but a bit of pre-planning and organization can make them easier to run.
- Price your items in advance as you collect them. You'll have plenty of early birds ready to shop while you
are setting up on the day of your sale, so you won't want to be pricing at the last minute.
- Coordinate with your neighbors and friends for a multi-family sale. Use different colored stickers and
hang tags to price items to help keep track of which treasures belong to whom.
